Sustainable Seafood Festival

There was a seafood festival at the Botanical Garden during Elaine's visit. Yummy seafood dishes at different stations and lots of info on how to eat sustainable seafood. We also found out we can have sustainable fresh fish of our very own in a home made tank you can keep in your back yard or even your basement! Then we went over to the aquarium where they had a film and a touch tank!

Elaine and I went to the Zoo and Aquarium in Albuquerque on a very hot, cloudless day. And for $3.50, you too can ride a stinky camel.

Animal Planet Expo

This past weekend, we worked at the Animal Planet Expo held at the Balloon Fiesta Park. Before the festivities were open to the public, we went to the different booths to check them out. In this booth, we were able to choose a background of an elephant, a tiger or a monkey. Without hesitation, Mike chose the monkey. He's supposed to look like he's petting it, but instead is holding hands with that Animal Planet guy.

We got very dark working outside for two days.
This is King Croc where we worked the first day. Ages 6-15 can slide. We made many 5 year old kids cry that day. So for the next day, we asked for a transfer and we got Moon Bounce duty which was much better because despite the height requirements, we let every kid in, poopy diapers and all!
Our Meerkat fan. It was very very hot that weekend.
